Isom Hurney Sanders,
Jr.
Hurney seems to actually remain in Washington County
longer than his siblings. He met and married Mary Leanna (May) Snodgrass on the 20th
of December, 1908 in Fayetteville, Washington County. May was born at Summers, Arkansas
right there in Washington County on December 2, 1887. Hurney and May had two daughters,
Maude and Opal. Sometime before 1913, the family must have moved to Oklahoma, because Opal
was born in Olive, Oklahoma. Hurney was living in Drumright, Oklahoma in 1940
Maude was the mother of Nancy Kincade Haley, one of cousins whose a member of the Stephen Sanders Research Group.
