James R. Sanders and Hattie C. Ramsey James R. Sanders was born in May 13, 1864. James was the fourth child from the marriage of Stephen Sanders and Amy Moore. In May of 1870, James married Hattie C. Ramsey who had been born in Tennessee, May 26, 1868. They married in Washington County, Arkansas. Hattie was a sister to Russ and Dock Ramsey who married other Sanders children. From their marriage, James and Hattie had five sons and two daugthers: William, Carrie, Lydia, Oscar, Maynard, Arvey, and Lester. Census record shows James moved from Payne County to Tulsa, Oklahoma, between 1910 and 1920. Most likely this was where his mother, Amy, died. James died June 15, 1953. Hattie C.
