Card
Number: 11
TO: Mr. Lem Sanders, Yale Okla (Lemuel Harris
Sanders)
FROM: Gruin G R (Maybe Gwen; could be a Rich, a young
person)
Postmarked: Lincoln, Ark. Dec 15, 1908
Correspondence and notations: "Your Corn is on a little toy
wagon. What do you think of Arkansas apples? Answer soon
as you get it."
Comments: This card, likely from a youngster in Lincoln,
could be a member of the Rich family. They comment about the
corn, because several cards made in that time period showed a giant
ear of corn so big that it took up the whole bed of a horse-drawn
wagon. It was sort of a brag card to show people how well they had
farmed. |
